Requirements
Dreadpick runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 17.0 or later. No device permissions are required, and the game can be played entirely offline.
How to play
- Pick a difficulty to begin. More tiers are on the way.
- Swipe through the companions and tap one to take them with you. Each has a different way of bending the odds in your favour, and it lasts for one run.
- Each story is three steps long. Every step offers two cards — one is safe, one is not. The cards look identical and are reshuffled each step, so position is never a clue.
- Survive all three steps to finish the story. One wrong card ends the run.
Unlocking companions
Three companions are available from the start. The rest are earned as you play — some by surviving a number of stories, others by falling a number of times. A locked companion's card shows exactly what it needs. Your progress is saved on your device and carries across runs.
Troubleshooting
- A companion won't select? Locked companions can't be chosen — their card is dimmed and shows the requirement it still needs.
- Progress seems to have reset? Progress is stored on the device, so deleting and reinstalling the app clears it, and it does not transfer between devices.
- Something looks wrong or the app misbehaves? Close and reopen the app, and if it persists, email me with your device model and iOS version.

Dreadpick is a horror game. Its stories deal with dread, peril, and death through written narrative and stylised vector artwork — there are no photographic or graphic images. All characters, places, and events in the game are entirely fictional.
